THIS WEEK’S LESSON

You're Already Playing the Great Online Game (You Just Didn’t Know It)

Here’s a wild thought:

Every time you post, comment, DM, or even lurk online…

You're not just "using the internet."

You're playing a game. A massive, never-ending, multi-level, multi-player game.

Most people don’t even realize they’re playing. Which means they’re losing. Which means they're leaving massive opportunity on the table.

The Great Online Game isn’t about beating other players. It’s about unlocking levels of serendipity, connections, and wealth you didn’t even know existed.

And best of all? The Game is free to play. You just have to realize you’re already in it.

How the Great Online Game Works

  • Every post is a lottery ticket. Share an idea on Twitter or LinkedIn? That could open the door to new clients, partnerships, or investments.

  • Your surface area creates your luck. The more you show up, the more ways the universe can reward you. You can’t win a game you never enter.

  • The real prize isn't likes — it's leverage. Influence, reputation, trust, optionality... these are the real assets earned while others are counting vanity metrics.

In the old game, success was about who you knew and where you went to school.

In the Great Online Game? Success is about what you create and how you connect.

Why Former Educator Founders Are Uniquely Positioned to Win

You already have the tools:

  • You know how to teach and tell stories.

  • You understand how to build trust and deliver value.

  • You're naturally curious and mission-driven.

But most of you are playing too small.

You’re trying to "be better" inside someone else’s old game (course platforms, edtech consulting, the same tired funnels everyone else uses).

Instead — you can design your own category and win a new game where you have no competition.

Your Next Move

Pick a "playing field" you love. Crypto, writing, edtech, health — whatever you're nerdy about, dive in.

Show up as yourself. Share insights. Tell stories. Document your learning journey. (Not just curated perfection.)

Remember: the cost of failure is close to zero. The internet forgets fast. Experiment often.

Package your knowledge. The most successful players don't just consume. They create artifacts that outlive them (courses, newsletters, podcasts, communities).

Play infinite games. Forget finite wins like follower counts. Build relationships, create value, explore curiosity loops that never end.

Bottom line?

You are living through the greatest wealth, creativity, and opportunity unlock in human history.

The only way to lose...

Is to sit on the sidelines.

Go play.

Before you go …

If today’s newsletter sparked some ideas about how you could start winning the Great Online Game — good.

Because I believe the next wave of breakout founders won't be the loudest or the flashiest... they'll be the ones who master signal content and category design.

I'm building a new framework to help founders like you stand out, grow faster, and create your own niche where competition becomes irrelevant.

If you want early access (and help applying it to your business) …

Let’s make sure you’re not just playing the Game.

You’re winning it.
